Dialogue in Art

Dialogue in Art’ came along as Winnie saw the increase in the level of psychological distress across people from children to adults, regardless of their cultures and backgrounds, during her years working and living around the world. Despite the fact that we were closer to the advancement in human and technology development than ever, many people were actually getting further away from their emotions, a healthy mental wellbeing and self-awareness.

She wanted to create an opportunity to open up minds, embrace authentic expression and celebrate differences in a safe environment.

Art is a powerful vehicle to connect people to their emotions. It drives dialogue effectively not only because it can be understood universally, but also because the creation of art externalises the unconsciousness and make thoughts visible. ‘Dialogue in Art’ aims to provide a safe place for people to experience a series of emotion-based, process-oriented and dialogue-driven art-making engagement designed for adults, children and families, with a mission to help people in need reflect, express and transform through art.

She also aspires to make our community a better place by:

1. Promoting new form of expression beyond conventional painting and drawing practices;

2.Shifting the popular culture of ‘artwork as an output’, to ‘art as a process’ to facilitate the discussion of what really matters

3. Nurturing positive emotional health and creating a safe environment for authentic expression
